in reply to: Ventilation #1454
Hi Sarah
We have whole room and local ventilation. We also have downdraft tables. We use the BIE guidelines for PPE which are pretty standard; gloves, apron, eye protection etc.

Laurence
I agree with the forum for professional issues simply for Facebook having this line in its T&C’s
‘For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.’
Unless you change those settings they own it and can do whatever they want with it. So let’s keep it professional.

in reply to: methylmethacrylate resin #1220Tiranti.co.uk the art supply company do methylmethacrylate resin, in their casting section ‘polyester resin’. Don’t forget the hardener otherwise you get a odd sticky gloop, and too much you just go really brittle ;):P.
F31 is polyurethane ok for strengthening internal structures downside is it has a beige colour when dry, but a flex when dry.
As Dave said, not sure what your student wants to do with the bone?
