Future events and meetings:
Autumn 2026 Scientific Meeting will be held in University of Liverpool 2nd-3rd September 2026. A variety of subjects will be covered including perspectives from students who are just starting their careers as well as those who are well established. There will be various workshops including a 3D printing workshop, an embalming workshop and a HTA workshop. We will showcase technical achievements in science and academics talks in Veterinary science, Dentistry and Anatomy to name a few. The staff at HARC are looking forward to welcoming you to our city and our department.
Spring 2027 Scientific Meeting and AGM will be hosted online.

IAS Autumn Scientific Meeting 2026
University of Liverpool
The IAS are pleased to announce that our autumn scientific meeting this year will be held at the University of Liverpool’s Human Anatomy Resource Centre (HARC), on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2026.
A variety of subjects will be covered including perspectives from students who are just starting their careers, technical achievements in science and Academics talks in Veterinary science, Dentistry and Anatomy to name a few. The staff at HARC are looking forward to welcoming you to our city and our department.
The full two-day event package includes conference registration, Wednesday conference dinner, and lunch and refreshments on both days of the conference. There are options for booking just single days too.
There is a discounted full conference package offer, available to paid-up IAS members only. If you are a paid-up member, please see recent emails from the IAS about the conference, which will contain the promotional code to input when selecting your tickets.
When completing your order, you will also be asked to select your menu choices for the conference meal and alert us of any dietary requirements you have.

Travel
The HARC building is located in the Sherrington Building, Ashton Street (L69 3GE).
Detailed travel information for getting to the University of Liverpool via different methods, and information about parking can be found here, or in the event programme.
Accommodation
The recommended hotel for delegates is the Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village. This is a 3-minute walk from the HARC building and is also where the conference meal will take place on the Wednesday Evening.

Is there any financial support available to attend?
The IAS Garry Thomson Educational grant is available for paid up members to apply for, to help with funding conference attendance. Please see the website for more details.
Refunds
The IAS can offer a refund of ticket price (minus a small admin fee) up to the point where catering has been confirmed/ registration closes. After this time, no refunds can be provided.

Host or attend a workshop?
If you are interested in hosting or attending a workshop please contact us. We need all types of workshops to help facilitate members who wish to learn new skills and techniques. Alternatively, if you would like to host a workshop but are not in a position to hold one in your workplace, please do get in touch as we may be able to link up hosts with facilities.
We are relying on members to pass on techniques to other members. Everyone has something to offer so do get in contact.
