Writing for the Journal of the IAS

The Journal of the IAS will accept the following forms of manuscript for consideration for publication:

• Technical report
• Dissection report
• Review articles
• Case studies
• Anatomy pedagogy reports
• Academic essays

Submit your completed manuscript to the following email address: journal@anatomical-sciences.org.uk. Please ensure your manuscript follows the instructions outlines in ‘Instructions for authors’. In addition, the ‘Author Agreement Form’ (see below) must be completed in full and emailed alongside your manuscript. If your work contains images of human cadaveric material, then the DI (or international equivalent) of your institute should be a signatory.

The Journal of the IAS is pleased to offer all authors a mentor to help them at any stage of their writing the manuscript. Details of this can be found here.

The Journal of the IAS will periodically run undergraduate student essay competitions. 2023 Competitions are now open with the due date of August 31st. Details of the essay title, word count and deadlines can be found here.
