Qualifications

The IAS is committed to helping members to gain further practical experience and develop new skills. Our qualifications allow members to complete a portfolio and to collect accreditation points which will allow you progression through the levels of membership.

Our Qualifications:

Certificate of Anatomical Technology and Science (CATS)

– Up to a maximum of 50 Accreditation point

Candidates must complete a self-assessment of their duties, followed by a viva voce
assessment in their place of work. A team of assessors will then award Accreditation Points
up to a maximum of 50. The form is easy to complete and in itself is a qualification awarded
by the IAS. It can also be viewed as a starting point for the IAS Diploma. This award is open
to all IAS members.

Diploma of Anatomical Technology and Science (DATS)

– Up to a maximum of 500 Accreditation points

The Diploma is a qualification for technical staff that is intended to be achieved alongside the duties in their workplace. This is a more in-depth qualification than the certificate, allowing candidates to develop theoretical, practical and technical experience associated with anatomy and its related subjects. This award is open to all IAS members.
