Helping members gain further practical experience

Qualifications

The IAS is committed to helping members to gain further practical experience and develop new skills.

Please email: education@anatomical-sciences.org.uk for information on the available qualifications.

Our Qualifications:

Certificate of Anatomical Technology and Science (CATS)

Candidates must complete a self-assessment of their duties, followed by a viva voce
assessment in their place of work. The form is easy to complete and in itself is a qualification awarded
by the IAS. It can also be viewed as a starting point for the IAS Diploma. This award is open
to all IAS members.

Diploma of Anatomical Technology and Science (DATS)

The Diploma is a qualification for technical staff that is intended to be achieved alongside the duties in their workplace. This is a more in-depth qualification than the certificate, allowing candidates to develop theoretical, practical and technical experience associated with anatomy and its related subjects. This award is open to all IAS members.

Certificate in Anatomical Bequeathal Services (CABS)

Candidates must complete a self-assessment of their duties, followed by a viva voce assessment in their place of work.  The form is easy to complete and in itself is a qualification awarded by the IAS. This award is open to all IAS members.
