in reply to: Future IAS meetings #831Hi everyone,
Must admit when I first heard the dates I thought the issue would be that most people take holidays around then and so the numbers could be low as a result. The costing of it will undoubtedly be higher than usual but that said, the return train ticket from Brighton to Hull ended up costing more than a return trip to Ireland!
Keele might be a better option for Autumn 2010 but I think Rambling’s suggestion of interspersing “cheaper” UK-based meetings with overseas ones is a good idea. It’s now been 3 years since the last overseas meeting and I think it would be a shame to discourage overseas members if they wish to host. Would an overseas Spring meeting be out of the question? You know me – always looking for an excuse to head home;)!!

in reply to: Spring 2010 Meeting #808Hi – hope everyone is well….
I think that an IAS Spring meeting (with AGM) in addition to a joint meeting with BACA and ASGBI would be the better option…I also think that there would be huge benefits to have a joint meeting and that getting members of all three societies together can only be a good thing…
Looking forward to seeing you all in Hull…

in reply to: Test of Council Forum #793Received this morning – horrible weather!!!!:(
I did have a play around with the options under the “my account” tab – the Council Meeting Minutes and Council forums were new additions from when I last ticked all the boxes to receive prompts – so that needed to be updated and seemed to fix the problem….hope that makes sense!
Cheers,
Tx
in reply to: Test of Council Forum #787Yep – I received the prompt this morning….
Sun is shining here….
in reply to: Brain Slices #749Thanks guys,
Certainly I’d be interested in hearing about the microchips too!! No pressure Vicky!! Just one other thing about this, what happens to the chips when you are disposing of the specimens?
Any other comments about this would be welcome – we’re interested in making some changes next year!
Have a lovely Christmas everyone!:D
